Description: The resort was on the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler 2003 Gold List. Over the years, the island property has been the recipient of numerous other prestigious awards and honors, including: Successful Meetings' Pinnacle and Ace Awards, Meeting and Conventions Gold Key, Gold Tee and Gold Platter Awards, Corporate Meetings & Incentives' Paragon and Golden Links Awards and Corporate & Incentive Travel's Award of Excellence and Greens of Distinction.

Treatments & Programs: Massage (Swedish, LaStone, watsu, more), body treatments (Bali by the Sea scrub, aloe vera rehydrating body mask, more), Bali baths, facials (oxygen, intense hydrating, protection, antiaging, firming), microdermabrasion, hair services, manicures, pedicures, makeup. Fitness classes include yoga, water yoga, Pilates, spinning and more. Personal trainers are available.

Spa Facilities: Part of an $80 million renovation, the two-story 24,000-square-foot Spa at Marco Island Marriott opened December 2003. Featuring a Balinese theme and decor, the spa has separate men's and women's changing areas each with sauna, steam room and hot and cold plunge pools. The ladies relaxation area overlooks the beach with a gulf view, while the men's relaxation room is more of a lounge with ESPN on television and drinks available. There are 24 treatment rooms with six seaside terraces off the suites allow clients to go outdoors between treatments to relax or enjoy lunch or cocktails. A Bose surround sound system provides music on several channels, or a person can bring their own music to play while they are undergoing a treatment. Additionally, there are wet rooms with hydrotherapy tub and vichy shower, a couples treatment room, cafe, and outdoor beachside watsu pool and whirlpool. The 900 square-foot salon has six hair stations, eight manicure stations and four pedicure thrones. The fitness facilities have separate weight, cardio and aerobic rooms. The spa restail shop offers treatment products, spa-logo clothing, resort wear, jewelry, and hair products from the salon.

Other Facilities: 727 guest rooms and suites with private balconies, two outdoor pools - the Tiki Pool with waterfalls and a children's slide surrounded by lava rock formations, Audubon-endorsed Rookery at Marco Golf Course at Marco (18 holes; 7180 yards; 72 par; 5.0 miles away), pro shop (Top 100 Golf Shop Awards), Nick Faldo School of Golf The Rookery, 60,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, restaurants. Activities include sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, fishing, boating, parasailing, ping pong, basketball. Tiki Tribe children's program.
