Description: Open May 2006, Townhouse Spa is a new concept of spa as “lounge” inspired by New Yorkers who want to stay at the spa to linger into the evening hours - a perfect place to socialize in a quiet, serene setting. The spa was created by Jamie Ahn, owner of Acqua Beauty Bar in Union Square.

A special package for couples to be in your own privacy in the couples lounge. 4 hours personalized treatment you will definitely enjoy. An aphrodisiac beverage and dessert sampler from the lounge café is offered as a nice treat with your treatments. The package includes: Hammam Bath (Start with a sensual bathing retreat in the Oceana Hydrotherapy pod with an herbal infusion for its therapeutic and healing properties to detoxify and deep cleanse. Finish off with a mist of orange blossom, iris, cedar, rose and lemon to astringent the body and gravitate your mind. Done in separate rooms); Couples (Couples body stretching by a licensed massage expert to show you how to release tension and stress in the body together); Townhouse Facial (A soothing and purifying cleansing face therapy with enzyme exfoliation and antioxidant treatment. Enjoy the relaxing massage on face and décolleté.); Nail Therapy (Enjoy Townhouse Spa manicure and pedicure).

Maternity Treatments and Programs: The Maternity Massage - Enjoy a nurturing and comforting massage for mothers-to-be. Some wonderful benefits of prenatal massage are lessening of sciatic pain, fewer calf cramps, stress relief on weight bearing joints, such as ankles, lower back and pelvis and improved circulation. Pillows will be comfortably placed and tucked securely so that mothers-to-be can relax and enjoy the nurturing touch of the therapist. Any complications during pregnancy must be made aware of before treatment. Massages can only be performed after the first trimester. 60 minutes.

Spa Facilities: The 6,000 square feet Townhouse Spa encompasses three floors: one for men, one for women and a third to mingle, shop and dine. Townhouse Spa highlights include exclusive VIP suites perfect for private meetings, celebrity interviews or strategy sessions with your assistant. You can even plug in your laptop as you put the final touches on that million-dollar proposal and your pedicure. Manicure and pedicure areas offer the perfect party venue and Townhouse guests are invited to spa-on-the go with an incredible retail scene. Men have their own floor where they can keep an eye on the score with plasma televisions as they have their shoes shined. The steam room offers personalized waterfalls. A serene inviting lounge invites you to meet and eat after spa treatments. The cuisine (fun and light-fare) created by some of Manhattan’s most talented and noteworthy chefs. The ambiance is understated elegance - metropolitan modern with a traditional twist - with floating fireplaces, lamp and candle lighting, imported area rugs, vaulted ceilings, spa “portals” to distinguish resting from digesting, wood details from around the world and opalescent tiles.
