Designed by world leading Feng Shui expert Zdeslav Radovcic and Interior Designer Sinclair Hoffmann, each chalet has its own uniquely relaxing and calming atmosphere. Either chose which apartment you like most or allow the resident I Ching expert to select the most suitable apartment for you.The chalets offer guests the most luxurious creature comforts from a heated bathroom floor to a surround sound home cinema. The chalets themselves are peaceful and spacious, with a wonderful wooden terrace overlooking the mountain vista.The area surrounding Takaro Peace Resort can be explored on foot, by mountain or quad bike. Guests may choose to go fly or spin fishing with an expert guide in the beautiful Upukerora River, or take a stroll to the nearby Upper Lake, a ‘lost’ lake high in the hills above the property. Activities further a field include heli-skiing, scenic helicopter flights, a visit to the glow-worm caves or a trip to Lake Te Anau, the largest lake in the South Island and second only within New Zealand to Lake Taupo. Families can enjoy a walk along the lakeshore to the Wildlife Park to view the rare Takahe, endemic to this area. The Milford or Doubtful Sounds are located a short drive from the resort.
