Q. What exactly is the
Discover Spas Site?
A.
The objective of Discover Spas is to make it easy
to find spa-related information on the Web, which is one of the largest reference
libraries the world has ever known. Discover Spas contains
a Site Map which contains most of
the site's contents. If you have trouble finding what you are looking for, you
can search the site using the search box found on every page or email me.
Q.
I am looking for a spa to stay at in or a day spa to go to. Can you recommend
one?
A. It wouldn't be appropriate
for me to recommend a specific spa, simply because I haven't stayed in more than
a fraction of them. If I have been to a spa you are thinking about visiting, I
will be happy to tell you about my experience. In fact, you will know if I have
visited a spa, because there will be an article about it at Spa
Reviews by Julie Register. However, the purpose of a web travel site
is to help you find the information you need to make your own educated decisions--and
besides, half the fun of travel is researching and planning a trip!
TIP:
Use The Spa Register® to find over 10,000 US
and Global Spas. These directories provide
links to individual spa listing pages with location and contact information.
TIP:
Some spas offer treatments that address special needs and interests. You can find
these at:
Romantic Spas
Weight Loss Spas
Maternity Spas
TIP:
Spas often send me special, limited time offers to share with Discover
Spas viewers. You can find these at Spa
Deals.
TIP: Occasionally, I run
across contests and sweepstakes on the Internet that have spa vacations for the
prize. You can enter these at Spa Contests.
Q. How do I get my spa listed on
The Spa Register® Directory?
How much does it cost?
A. If you are a spa
and would like to get a listing on The Spa Register®, follow
the instructions on Spa Listings.
There are three levels of listings - Free, Basic and Enhanced. The price reflects
the amount of information each contains.
Q.
I want to know what's going on in the spa industry. Can you tell me?
A. The Spa News pages
link to press releases sent to Discover Spas
by spas and spa-related businesses. To make it easy for you to find the
news you are looking for, the press releases are divided into the following topics:
Q.
We are starting a new spa business. Can you offer any suggestions about (any aspect
of running a spa)?
A. The Spa Busines Resource
section of Discover Spas provides the following:
An excellent resource and one that should be used
by every spa (IMHO - I co-wrote them) is The
International Standards of SpaExcellence(SM) from SpaQuality
LLC, my other company.
Q. Please send
me a copy of Discover Spas and/or The Spa
Register®.
A. Discover
Spas is the online equivalent of a spa/travel/health/business magazine.
There is no paper version. To obtain literature from the spas or other products/services
in which you are interested, contact them directly. You can get the contact information
on The Spa Register®.
Q.
I would like to share information I have about spas. Are you interested?
A. Discover Spas
does not currently publish or accept submissions for articles by journalists,
spa professionals, or spa enthusiasts who have written spa reviews, spa tips,
spa business information, etc.
