Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo and Conference Creates Industry Buzz and
Excitement in NYC - industry innovations and advancements, networking events and
educational opportunities
NEW
YORK 10/2/07 - The Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo and Conference,
held on September 8-10, 2007, drew thousands to the Jacob Javits Convention Center
in New York City to get a sneak peak at the newest products and treatments. The
event featured demonstrations by cutting-edge exhibitors and meaningful education
and networking events for spa and medical spa professionals. Presented by Reed
Exhibitions, the Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo consistently debuts the
latest in industry advancements, and serves as an educational resource for the
spa and medical communities.
The
growth and vitality of the show this year was impressive, said Eileen Baird,
group vice president and show manager of the Spa & Resort and Medical Spa
Expo and Conference. There were more than 75 new exhibitors in New York,
all presenting and leading the industry trends. Its gratifying to see the
development and expansion of the show, and we are honored that exhibitors from
all over the world choose to debut their newest innovations at this event.
The New York Spa & Resort and Medical
Spa Expo addressed the burgeoning spa and medical spa markets by providing a forum
for attendees and exhibitors to experience the industry from all angles, and the
introductions made at the show provide new outlets and partnerships.
There are always a ton of really unique new products
at the Spa & Resort Show. Its exciting to see the trends and the launches
of new ideas and treatments that continue to move the industry beyond just make-up
and cosmetics, said Stephanie Ranalli, president, New York Spa of Putnam
Valley, N.Y.
As the only trade event that
caters twice annually to both the fast-growing spa and medical spa industries,
the Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo and Conference is the ultimate resource
for new products and treatments. The New Product Showcase specifically featured
the latest massage, skincare and medical spa products being introduced at the
show in one convenient location.
I
usually find all my products on the Internet, said Ildiko Pekar, Ildi Pekar
Skin Care, New York, N.Y. But at the Spa & Resort show, there are so
many treatments and products being offered right here, and I can feel things,
test them out, and ask any questions I have.
Beyond
the trade show floor, opportunities for networking, education and events designed
to improve business drew attendees and exhibitors alike.
The
Global Spa Panel brought international spa industry experts together to discuss
the evolution of spa menus, product ingredients, equipment, and customer service
around the globe.
The Spa Directors Panel offered exhibitors behind-the-scenes
sales insights.
The Networking Roundtable brought industry icons, exhibitors
and attendees together to discuss marketing direction, business planning and more.
Educational lectures and classes on themes such as greening, injectables,
LED therapy, complimentary services, online sales, and more, led by prominent
industry experts provided attendees with a wealth of new knowledge.
The Spa
Sanctuary invited attendees to receive luxurious spa treatments with a charitable
donation for skin cancer research.
Attendees were able
to relax after viewing the booths of more than 300 exhibitors. First-time and
repeat exhibitors came from across the country to debut new products and treatments
at the New York show.
We chose the
Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo to launch Smile Reminder into the medical
spa and spa field because we had heard such great things about the quality of
the show, said Jim Higgins, CEO and Founder, Smile Reminder, Lindon, Utah.
We made great introductions and leads, and we were very pleased with the
results.
For us, the show
is all about exposing attendees and exhibitors to new and innovative products
and treatments that are moving spa and medical spas into new territory,
said Dr. Patrick Porter, NewReality, Danville, Calif. The ability for attendees
to see first-hand what your company is all about is incredibly valuable, and it
was great to network with exhibitors whose treatments and products may work well
together with ours.
We found
the show to be a very good fit for our company. The reason we exhibited was to
expand our market - we were able to meet many doctors and estheticians, and received
many leads, said Pamela Crispo, Independent Consultant Executive Area Manager,
Arbonne International, Boca Raton, Fla.
The
next Spa & Resort and Medical Spa Expo & Conference will be held at the
Los Angeles Convention Center, February 23-25, 2008. For more information about
