Womens Wellness Weekend Bedford Springs Resort, in partnership
with Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, is
offering a retreat that will feature a line-up of experienced advisors and health
professionals who will offer practical tools for living a balanced life with integrity
and purpose. In addition to diverse breakout sessions and workshops, Dr. Nancy
Mramor, spiritual fitness coach, educational, health and clinical psychologist,
and author of Spiritual
Fitness, will be the Saturday morning (Jan. 26) breakfast guest speaker.
Dr. Will Clower, author of The Fat Fallacy: Applying the French Diet to
the American Lifestyle, will deliver that days luncheon keynote presentation
about the nutritional, social and political science of French and American dietary
attitudes. The de-stressing begins on arrival on Friday (Jan. 25) with 20-minute
pick me ups, including scalp and neck massages, foot reflexology and paraffin
hand treatments, followed by a Life Extension: Stretch and Relaxation Class. After
that evenings welcome reception, Veronique Paquet, the resorts spa
director, will offer Secrets from the Spa and an introduction to Bedford
Springs Resort. Saturdays sessions and workshops include:

Wellness Weekend package price is $499 per person based on double occupancy and

Pa.Jan. 9, 2008 - Who can refuse chocolate, let alone a chocolate eating
lesson? Thats just one of the unusual presentations to be made here at the
inaugural Womens Wellness Weekend at Bedford Springs Resort, Jan. 25-27.
The three-day event is designed as a journey of renewal aimed to restore and re-connect
with like-minded women.
Dr. Will Clower, author of The Fat Fallacy: Applying
the French Diet to the American Lifestyle and The French Dont Diet will
deliver his popular lecture, Chocolate Eating Lessons and the Healthiest
Diet on Earth at Saturdays (Jan. 26) luncheon. His presentation shows
why people who live in the Mediterranean are healthier than Americans and how
to lower weight and cholesterol in eight weeks.
The event, co-sponsored
by Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, is of
benefit to those who are healthy and want to reduce their risk of disease development,
and for those who have medical conditions and situations in their lives that create
stress and anxiety. Attendees will learn how to manage stress and achieve balance
