2005 Leading Spas of Canada Spa
Industry Conference & Expo: Post-Conference

From Leading Spas of Canada - More than 300 delegates,
from across Canada, the United States and even from Bermuda, attended
LSCs annual conference & expo, held at the Marriott Eaton
Centre Hotel, Toronto, April 10-12, 2005.
Master Business Sessions on Marketing Trends, Feng Shui
Design for Success, and Spa Compensation Issues got things cooking
with early-bird arrivals, although it was at the Community Welcome
Reception when things really started to rock. Orion Drummers, a team
of eight drummers, beat up the energy with flair and rhythm, alongside
the adventure of exploring over 50
exhibits and a sampling of spa experiences in The
Wellness Area.
The following two days were full of information and
networking opportunities: Keynote sessions by Horst Rechelbacher (www.intelligentnutrients.com)
and Dr. Lance Secretan (www.secretan.com)
inspired us all to think with a global consciousness, and made us
realize the important role the spa industry plays in sustaining wellness
for our clients and our planet. Our speaker
line-up delivered concurrent sessions with so many incredible
ideas, selected sessions were taped so everybody can hear what they
might have missed! But these CDs
are only available until May 31st, 2005.

The Crystal Gala Dinner was the most extravagant event
of all, with a runway show of fashion vignettes, sizzling hot ballroom
dancers and, to honour the elements of Feng Shui which were so much
a part of this conference, there was an esoteric dance interpretation
that weaved together the elements of water, earth, metal and fire.
Special thanks to Robert LaPierre for producing such an imaginative
and entertaining show. A highlight of the evening was also the extraordinary
Dr. Draw.
THE WELLNESS EXPERIENCE
Special thanks to all the participants that offered the diverse range
of sampler spa experiences, from a new interactive and fully programmable
massaging mattress to the latest medical procedures in anti-aging
techniques. CLICK
