Report - More Than 54.000 Attend IBS New York and The American Spa
Expo

York, NY-May 11, 2005 - The 2005 International Beauty Show and the
American Spa Expo, co-located at the Javits Center on April 17-19,
attracted 54,239 beauty and spa professionals to the nation's beauty
and fashion capital, New York City. The annual event is held every
spring and heralds the summer beauty trends by the world's top platform
hair and makeup artists and manufacturers such as Redken, Matrix,
John Paul Mitchell Systems, Farouk and many others.
"These shows clearly demonstrate to the world that
the beauty and spa markets are alive and well and as energized as
ever," said Michael Boyce, show manager. "We had fantastic
exhibitor participation coupled with a record-breaking attendance
-and the successful CIDESCO 54th World Congress with international
guests from over 82 countries."
2005 International Beauty Show and American Spa Expo show
highlights include:
- More than 400 top hair care manufacturers including RUSK, Redken,
Matrix, John Paul Mitchell Systems, TiGi, Farouk, Conair, Sally Beauty,
Paramount and Pibbs, showcased the latest in hair care, finishing supplies,
hair color, hair extensions/wigs, appliances, equipment and salon/spa
furniture.

Leading spa and skin care companies such as Sothys,
Pevonia, Decleor, Repechage, Glymed and many others demonstrated the
latest treatments and products for anti-aging, microdermabrasion,
electrolysis and other
skin and spa services.

The 54th CIDESCO World Congress, the world-renowned
beauty therap esthetics and wellness event, which featured keynotes
by Dr. Ruth Westheimer on "Sexy Aging and by Felicia Milewicz,
Glamour beauty director, on "Beauty Trends".

Main Stage Hair Fashion Shows by world-renowned guest
artists, including Robert Cromeans, Scott Cole and Linda Vodice from
JPMS, Sandra Vu of RUSK, Jill Leitz and Brent Borreson of Redken,
Bianca Alexander from MAC Cosmetics, Ruth Roche and Martin Parsons,
showcasing their latest collections and the hot looks from the fashion
runways.

The exclusive East Coast premiere of the "One
Life Project" a moving documentary inspired by the life and tragic
death of hairdresser Carson Chirico, with commentaries by the industry's
greatest living legends, Vidal Sassoon, Horst Rechelbacher, Bruno
Mascolo, John Paul DeJoria, Robert Lobetta, Van Council and many others.

The launch of the New Age Visions Pavilion at American
Spa Expo which showcased retail products for spa business such as
aromatherapy, candles, jewelry, music and more that promote wellness,
enlightenment and harmony.
