New Advisory Board & New Mission Statement
Union City, NJ, August 2005 At the 2005 Advisory
Board Meeting during the IECSC in Las Vegas, The Day Spa Association
(DSA) appointed new individuals to serve on its board.
The following members have accepted this post and are
proud to serve the day spa industry: Tara Becker, Spa 415; Colleen

& Associates; Michael Carter, Athena Health Club & Day Spa;

Spa Designs by Monique; Eric J. Light, The Strawberry Hill Group;
Marti Morenings, Universal Companies, Inc.; Douglas Preston, Preston,
Inc.; Pamela Price, Author/Broadcaster; Stella Sigusdottir, Spa Academia;
and Skip Williams, Resources & Development. Medical Advisory Board:

We are so pleased to have such a tremendous collection of talented
industry leaders on our advisory board, comments Hannelore R.

These dedicated individuals are committed to the continued growth
of The Day Spa Association. Their first, and not easy, task was to
develop our new mission statement.
We are proud to publicize this new DSA mission statement.
Our Focus:
Serve as the primary business resource for day spa professionals
through educational seminars and workshops, research studies, publications
and Internet informational exchanges.
Promote our members' businesses by enhancing consumer awareness
and demand for spa services and products through public relations
efforts, The Day Spa Directory and the Internet.
To protect consumers by establishing a standard of excellence
to assure the continuous elevation of professionalism and quality
driven services in the day spa industry.
