Karen Cawley Named Spa Director of
Revive Spa, JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort
Phoenix,
Arizona—Karen Cawley has been named Spa Director of Marriott’s
first “Revive Spa” located at the JW
Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. The
soothing Sonoran Desert setting serves as the ideal backdrop for the
resort’s 28,000-square-foot, two-level, Revive Spa, named in the
new book, America’s
Best Hotel and Resort Spas by Mobil Travel Guide.
Cawley has been with the Marriott for twelve years now,
most recently in the Food & Beverage Department as the Manager of
Starbucks & Mini-bar Departments at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort
& Spa. She has worked in the hospitality industry for more than
25 years with most of that time spent in management. Prior to joining
the team at the luxurious Phoenix resort, Cawley was Food & Beverage
Director at the Brighton Gardens by Marriott in Santa Rosa, California.
Cawley has worked in the spa industry for more than a year and is already
making a name for herself as a leader due to her excellent rapport with
a diverse spectrum of people, exceptional customer service and great
people skills.

In the past, Cawley worked in the fitness area, opening
and operating her own Women’s Workout clothing store. Today, she
lives in Anthem, Arizona with her husband, three dogs and horse.
Complete with 41 elegantly appointed treatment rooms,
the spa features a two-story rotunda with a central water feature that
flows directly underneath the open skylight two floors above, capturing
the grand volume of the space. This earth-to-sky connection celebrates
the resort’s unique setting and embraces the outdoors. Wrought
iron banisters, fiery copper and tactile stone blend together to highlight
the elements of fire, water, earth and sky in this lush desert sanctum.
