ISPA to Recognize Peter Sng with
Dedicated Contributor Award
LEXINGTON, Ky. - A spa industry pioneer with strong international
influence will be honored during the 2004 International SPA Association
Conference & Expo, Nov. 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
Peter Sng, the first elected president of ISPA's Asia-Pacific Chapter
and a leading organizer of the association's annual Asia-Pacific Conference
& Expo, is the recipient of the ISPA 2004 Dedicated Contributor
Award.
"The acclaimed success of the annual ISPA Asia-Pacific
Conference can be directly credited to Peter Sng's steadfast commitment
to ISPA and the international spa industry," said ISPA Chair Jeff
Kohl. "Peter has been and will continue to be a key leader in the
worldwide spa industry."
Since the inaugural ISPA Asia-Pacific Conference in 1999,
Sng has spearheaded the event and gained the support and endorsement
of governments and tourism associations for all host countries including
Singapore, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan. Today, Sng continues to strengthen
the global spa industry by serving on the ISPA Board of Directors.
Sng has extensive experience in spa management and is
widely regarded as a pioneer in the spa industry. He was also influential
in establishing both the Spa Association Singapore (SAS) and SpaCare
International. He has held the position of SAS President since the association's
founding in 1999.
Additionally, his management expertise can be seen in
the success of the spa management company, SpaCare International, a
subsidiary of Cosmoprof. In 1994, the company-established Singapore's
first resort-based spa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. Under the management
of Sng, SpaCare's Premier Brand, The Aspara, won the inaugural Singapore
Promising Brand Award in 2002.
Sng will receive the ISPA 2004 Dedicated Contributor Award
on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Last year's recipient, Jane Segerberg, past ISPA
President and senior consultant of JGL Inc. Spa Design & Consulting
