Melissa Robinson named Aqaue Sulis Spa Director

Las Vegas, Nevada – The JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the hiring of Melissa J. Robinson as the new Spa Director at Aquae Sulis Spa.

“Melissa is a hard worker whose dedication to the industry coupled with her vast experience make her a perfect match for our resort,” says Jim Rose, General Manager. “Her passion for all things spa is fully evident to anyone who meets her and we are excited to see the new directions she plans to take Aquae Sulis Spa in the future.”

In addition to its exotic and traditional treatments, the spa currently boasts an extraordinary exercise menu, a state-of-the-art fitness area, and a salon that embraces personal expression. “Our dedicated staff anticipates your every need and will surpass all your expectations,” says Robinson.

Previously Director of Leisure Services at Harrah’s and The Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Robinson created a private line of spa products, improved on existing spa services, developed the hotel’s new tattoo shop, and chaired the hotel’s Project HERO volunteers, all while overseeing more than 90 employees. Prior to the Flamingo, Robinson managed The Green House Spa in Newport Beach, California, where she quickly rose through the ranks to become their spa expert, setting up new company facilities around the country.

Beginning her training at Baylor College of Medicine, Robinson received her nursing degree from Pacific Coast College. Today, she lives in Las Vegas with her husband Bryan and five children – Casey, Kyle, Jacob, Jaymz, and Raven. In her spare time, Robinson runs Raven’s Heart Foundation, a non-profit support group for children with heart disease that she founded in 2004 in honor of her daughter who was born with a heart defect.
