NEWPORT BEACH, California - Adding another facet to its innovative Wellness Rocks! program, Spa Gregorie's integrates the passion and expertise of nutritionist Bari Elise Rooney. The acclaimed day spa offers health-conscious Southland residents a holistic approach to wellness incorporating acupuncture, aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, Chinese herbal medicine-and, now, nutrition.

For most of her career, Rooney has worked with critically and chronically ill patients and has been energized by the opportunity to share her passion for good health with men and women who look to nutrition as a means of preventative medicine. A graduate of the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, Rooney also holds a Masters Degree and Doctorate from Clayton College of Natural Health. She has worked in both corporate and non-profit sectors providing nutrition and exercise guidance to those suffering from cancer, AIDS, brain injuries and other serious illnesses. In addition to supporting the wellness program at Spa Gregorie's, she maintains a private practice in Newport Beach and is the official nutritionist for Fox TV's popular mrning program, Good Day L.A.

Rooney believes in a comprehensive approach to health and eschews the concept of dieting. She creates customized nutrition plans for each of her clients that take into consideration special needs, lifestyle and overall goals.
