The
Palms Hotel & Spa Selects Kate Brown as Spa Director
Miami
Beach, FL (October 30, 2009) – The Palms Hotel & Spa announces the appointment
of Kate Brown as the new Spa Director for The Palms Spa, Aveda’s only luxury
beach spa in Florida. The Palms Spa - AVEDA is designed to awaken the senses and
bring balance back to body, mind and soul, with signature treatments inspired
by the hotel’s serene botanical atmosphere.
As Spa Director,
Brown will be in charge of daily operations, managing finances and profitability
and marketing for the spa. She will also be responsible for maintaining the highest
level of customer service and a quality work environment, while subscribing to
Aveda’s brand mission "to care for the world we live in" by offering
extraordinary treatments and services in an environment where beauty works in
harmony with "the greater web of life and with nature.”
Brown,
who has more than 19 years experience in the luxury guest service, fitness, hospitality
& spa industries, most recently served as Executive Spa Director for ESPA
at Acqualina Resort and Spa on the Beach, where she received Travel & Leisure’s
World’s Best Award in 2008. Additional experiences include Spa Manager and
Experience Coordinator at Williow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort
and Club, as well as Director of Operations for Browns Brothers, Inc in Palm Beach.
