June
14, 2005 - 108 Mile Ranch, BC...The
Hills Health Ranch has launched a new & innovative Ranch &
Fitness Program aimed at children, ensuring the unique Canadian ranch-resort
to be a great vacation destination for families. The unique childrens
program integrates fun filled ranch activities that includes time
with the horses and ranch animals, and Kid-Fit Games.
With rising obesity problems amongst young people today, the
purpose of the new program is to provide families with a quality vacation
option that includes helping their children to be very active during
their family vacations, said ranch President Patrick Corbett.
Many children today have become couch potatoes as a result of
sitting in front of computers, watching tv, watching and playing video
games, and parents are looking for help in getting their children
active again, so our fitness team have come up with an entire Kids-Fit
menu of games, that is integrated into summer ranch fun, added
Kinesiologist & Fitness Director Claire Fast.
The program is designed so that parents can enjoy the hiking, riding,
golfing, spa-ing, & daily fitness programs offered at the ranch,
while children are participating at the Kids Kamp.
The Hills Health Ranch was Canada's first destination spa & fitness
resort created & integrated at the Cariboo guest ranch, in 1985.
The ranch features approximately 30 horses offering an array of riding,
riding lessons, & horse learning activities, plus family chalet
style accommodations with up to 3 bedrooms available, 20,000 acres
of play area including lakes with canoing, 150 KM of hiking trails,
3 evening lounges including a special family lounge, 2 dining rooms,
3 fitness workout areas, 18 spa treatment & consultation rooms,
& more!
The ranch is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a chalet sale,
with a limited number of highly discounted rates for the chalets,
through the July & August 2005.
