Cornelia Fifth Avenue to open Summer 2004

CORNELIA, located at 663 Fifth Avenue, will open in late Summer 2004 as New York's preeminent luxury spa. CORNELIA was founded upon the inspiration and vision of renowned esthetician Cornelia Zicu, whose unique, individualized approach to beauty has set a new standard in the spa industry. The 20,000 square foot spa, located on the top two floors of the newly redesigned Ferragamo flagship building in mid-town Manhattan, will encompass more than 15 treatment rooms, will include more than 90 trained estheticians, massage therapists, professionals and staff, and will feature New York's only outdoor rooftop garden with treatment rooms, restaurant and a Watsu pool.

The two-level spa was designed by Zeff Design under the direction of Ms. Zicu, whose mission is to create an experience for clients that is individualized and intimate, elegant and sophisticated; a delight to the body as well as the soul. The architecture of the spa was designed to reflect the overall brand aesthetic - calming, yet inspiring. The spa design is modern yet classic, with strong historical European influences and natural, organic materials, creating a neutral palette that is inviting to the imagination.

The expansive main floor of CORNELIA, located on the building's 8th Floor, will consist of 11 private state-of-the-art facial and body treatment rooms, including one private consultation room used exclusively by Ms. Zicu. Consistent with its mission to provide a spacious and serene environment for clients, CORNELIA will feature large, luxurious locker rooms for men and women, each of which will include a steam and shower room. The main floor of CORNELIA also features an inviting and cozy library where guests can relax on soft chaise lounges complete with cashmere throws, as well as a full-service hair salon and make-up studio. The main floor of CORNELIA will also showcase a 600 square foot retail space where guests can browse Cornelia's signature line of skincare products and unique, luxury lifestyle items.

An opalescent glass staircase, softly lit from below, spirals and leads from the library to the spectacular rooftop area on the 9th Floor, where guests of the spa will find a spectacular roof garden with four individual treatment rooms surrounded by manicured shrubbery, and New York's only Watsu pool, which is available for underwater massage treatments. The roof garden will also feature a large whirlpool for relaxation, as well as spray-tanning facilities. The poolside lounge, adjacent to the treatment rooms, offers a private environment for guests sunbathing alone or with a group, and the scenic roof bar will serve champagne and rejuvenating spa beverages accompanied by light fare.
