Takaro Peace Resort In Te Anau, New Zealand Introduces
the World's First "Ten Hand" Massage
(November
2005) Te Anau, NEW ZEALAND. Located just outside Te Anau in the South Island of
New Zealand, Takaro Peace Resort is
set in a remote river valley, surrounded by thousands of acres of untouched national
forest.
Famous for its menu of over 40 award-winning massages
and body treatments, including the totally unique 'Ten Hand' massage, Takaro Peace
Resort is based on allowing guests the opportunity to experience total relaxation
and inner peace utilising I Ching i.e. personal energy profiles. Taking the date,
year and time of birth, an analysis is made to determine a person's element balance.
From this the consultant recommends which of the Five Element Chalets - Wood,
Fire, Earth, Metal, Water - best supports relaxation, health and wellbeing, and
the most effective treatments. This is also reflected in the music played in the
chalets on arrival and can be translated through to the recommended diet.
Thousands
of years of ancient eastern learning has been refined and distilled into the range
of award-winning massage treatments, specifically designed to counter the stress
of modern living. Some of the treatment specialists, who design programmes to
suit individual requirements, have been training for 14 years. Start the day with
a 'Rejuvenating Relaxation' session, designed to deliver energy to regenerate
every cell in the body. Lasting one and a half hours, the session includes a facial
treatment using a mask made of over 20 healing herbs and crushed pearls, a 'Magnetic
Field Internal Regeneration Treatment', a 'Meridian Treatment' working on the
feet and legs and a 'Peace of Mind Treatment' working on the head, neck, shoulders,
arms and hands. For guests wanting to experience the ultimate indulgence, the
'Ten Hand' massage is highly acclaimed, with five therapists concentrating on
the body's energy points to revitalise body and soul and replenish energy.
Duff
Drimble, Director of Expeditions for Butterfield & Robinson in Toronto comments,
"The Ten Hand massage was amazing - ten hands have never been so in unison.
My back will thank you for weeks to come".
Takaro Peace
Resort has ten, luxurious Five Element chalets with spectacular, uninterrupted
views to the stunning Kepler Mountain Range. Designed by a leading Feng Shui expert,
Zdeslav Radovic and Interior Designer Sinclair Hoffmann, each of the west facing
chalets has its own private balcony and is decorated in colours and fabrics appropriate
to their element to promote a feeling of wellbeing and calm. On a clear night,
the Milky Way is luminously clear.
When it comes to dining,
the menu at Takaro's Mountain View Restaurant is 90% organic and is produced from
the farm on the resort. The gourmet menus, specially designed to boost health
and vitality, can be enjoyed whilst taking in the restaurant's panoramic views
over the snow-peaked mountains and endless evergreen forest through the floor
to ceiling glass windows.
The property is managed by Claire
and Joel Sutton. Responsible for introducing the unique concept of the Energy
Clinic to corporate companies in the UK, i.e. combining events with relaxation
& massage, Claire and Joel utilise their international expertise to ensure
guests experience a relaxing and fulfilling stay. Testaments to this are the highly
commending comments in the Visitor's Book.
