JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa
Hits the Prestigious Hot List of Conde Nast Traveler Magazine (USA)
2004, Second Conde Nast Award for 2004
Phuket, Thailand - February 2004 - JW Marriott Phuket
Resort & Spa won its second Conde Nast accolade this year when it
hit the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler (USA) Magazine's 2004 Hot List
published in May. This follows the Resort's previous award in the UK
February edition for "Best Hotel Spa in Asia".
As the magazine states, it's not easy to make the Hot
List. Editorial staff sifted through hundreds of noteworthy new hotels
and resorts and called upon a global network of correspondents to visit
each property, incognito of course, where they poked pillows, dialed
up room service and quizzed the concierge. The 2004 Hot List is the
definitive guide to the hottest and hippest getaways around the globe,
reaching over 3 million of the most affluent, well traveled and discerning
readers.
Highlights in the Hot List feature the famous Mandara
Spa, and Cucina, the Resort's most popular restaurant, praising it as
"serving the best Italian food in Asia". It also stated that
"this 265-room property in the Edenic setting not far from the
airport gets everything right , down to the last detail".
"We are thrilled and honored to receive this recognition,
said Craig Smith, Resort General Manager. It is a credit to our dedicated
employees as well as the training and recruitment process to ensure
we have the very best people to serve our valued clients. This type
of accolade from guests and such influential media as Conde Nast, is
invaluable", he added.
