Medical Spa Acquisition Strategy
Spa industry leader, selects
the medical spa industry to launch its latest consolidation strategy
Branford, CT, February 06, 2007, -- Acara Partners announced
today the launch of its latest venture. “We are excited to launch
our nationwide consolidation strategy in the very fragmented medspa
industry. This area has experienced rapid growth with no non-franchise
national leader emerging. Acara’s vision is to bring order to
this spa industry segment that has developed with minimal standards
and operating benchmarks. Acara’s plan is to apply its tried
and true operating formulas to add value and build a strong national

Acara Partners. Acunzo is a 20-year veteran in the spa and hospitality
industry and was one of the first innovators to put laser hair removal
equipment in a spa setting in the early 90’s.
This type of venture is not new to Acunzo. He is the
Founder and former CEO of Stonewater which successfully acquired 22
of the best day spas in the country before it was merged with Premier
Salons. More recently, Acara MedSpas, a division of Acara Partners,
was contracted to take a chain of 37 medical spas out of bankruptcy
and stabilize the entity. Acara increased annualized revenues from
$0 to approximately $18 million in under 4 months. Acara MedSpas is
a management company that offers turnkey solutions for the planning,
development and implementation of medical spas and ongoing management
services including sales, operations and marketing.
Acara Partners is selectively seeking out high quality,
successful medical spas in targeted markets before expanding their
reach nationally. “We are looking for the top medical spas for
our new venture. We have strict criteria that includes top line revenue
of greater than $1 million annually for our acquisitions” states
Acunzo.
