Fairmont Chicago Completes $50 Million Renovation

03, 2008 - Strategic Hotels & Resorts has completed the $50 million renovation
of The Fairmont Chicago that includes a new wine, cheese, and chocolate tasting
experience called ENO, a new lobby, renovated and expanded guest rooms, and the
11,000-square-foot mySpa. Eighty-four rooms and suites of the hotel will
be dedicated to Fairmont Gold, an exclusive hotel within a hotel that is suited
for business and luxury travelers. Fairmont Gold features a
private check-in desk, courteous concierges, residential-style rooms, complimentary
high-speed Internet access, workspace innovations, large feather pillows, exclusive
Cologne 1888 amenities by Miller Harris and wake-up calls accompanied by coffee,
tea, juice and a wide-selection of newspapers. Business travelers can turn to
the Fairmont Gold Manager for professional support in setting up dinner reservations,
shipping important packages, checking flight times or printing boarding passes. The
Fairmont Chicago is the closest hotel to Millennium Park and is a few steps from
the city’s business district, as well as Navy Pier, Soldiers Field and the
Museum Campus
