Regency Monterey Resort and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course announces the imminent
completion of their new luxury spa to open in April 2009 Dec 22, 2008 Part
of the resort’s extensive $60 million transformation begun in 2007, the $6.5
million, 12,000 square foot Spa will be a unique destination sanctuary on the
Monterey Peninsula, one that creates a powerful sense of place. The spa’s
meticulous design and concept development draws inspiration from the surrounding
vibrant natural landscape, local history, and biological rhythms of the changing
seasons, to create a space that successfully captures the essence of Monterey.
Seasonally-changing facial and body treatments,
inspired by and indigenous to the Monterey Peninsula, such as seaweed treatments
and thallasotherapy (seawater therapy), will utilize both well-established products
and ground-breaking product lines. Among the
ten spa suites, The Spa will offer four spacious spa suites – with side-by-side
massage tables & fireplaces (plus, a soaking tub for two in the 500 square-foot
Couples Suite) – which will be the only ones of their kind on the Monterey
Peninsula.
