Sun, Sand and Spa - Journey's End Resort in Belize Opens Serenity Spa
Ambergris Caye, Belize - December 2003 - Mango, sea salt,
brown sugar and vanilla are just some of the ingredients to a relaxing
spa vacation at Journey's End Resort, located on a secluded island off
the coast of Belize, they have just opened The Serenity Spa. Trained
therapists at Serenity Spa use home-grown herbs to create soothing treatments
such as the Vanilla & Mango Brown Sugar Glow, a deep body exfoliation
packed with vitamins, minerals and enzymes that promises to lift one's
skin and spirit. Spa treatments range from $40 for a 30-minute back
and neck massage to $150 for a one-hour Couples Deluxe Massage, which
features a massage for two, dessert and champagne.
"With the addition of Serenity Spa, Journey's End
Resort now offers guests everything for a romantic, relaxing retreat,"
commented Shabir Walji, President of Journey's End Resort, "Treatments
can be received on spa or guest's balconies overlooking the lush mangroves
and Caribbean Sea or in the privacy of the spa. It really completes
the vacation experience."
Offering two treatment rooms both with balconies overlooking
the mangrove lagoon, the Serenity Spa offers guests relaxing and revitalizing
treatments including facials, manicures, pedicures, sunless tanning,
massages and body treatments that will entice the senses. Local herbs
grown on-island will be used to create special treatments to relax muscles,
soothe sunburns and rejuvenate the skin. A sample of signature treatments
include Happy Hour ($60) which offers a guest the talents of two massage
therapists to apply a full-body Swedish Massage in 30-minutes, the Grand
Escape ($315) featuring a Reiki treatment, aromatherapy facial, hair
treatment, deluxe manicure and pedicure complete with a light snack
and fruit smoothie.
