Ann
Craven for Révive 2007 Limited Edition Artbox - The Gift of Beauty as Art
7-24-07
RéVive presents the 2007 Limited-Edition Artbox, the ultimate expression
of beauty, art and science within a keepsake box, created by internationally renowned
artist Ann Craven.
The evergreen beauty of nature as illustrated
on the outside of the box beckons the discovery of ageless beauty treasures inside
Moisturizing Renewal Cream, Sensitif Cellular Repair Cream, Eye Renewal
Cream, and Serum Prôtectif four luxurious core products that represent
the foundation of the RéVive skincare collection, all at a very special
price. As part of a daily beauty regimen, the four products, packaged together
for the first time, will allow both long-time clients and first-time customers
the opportunity to experience the patented skincare system that works on a molecular
level, producing glowing, beautiful skin.
The Artbox, a RéVive
tradition in its fifth year, is created for those who admire the beauty and uniqueness
of contemporary art, as well as the allure of science and beauty found in the
RéVive collection. Its concept, by RéVive founder and CEO Dr. Gregory
Bays Brown, an avid art collector, was a natural evolution of the brand. RéVive
to me is an art form, not merely a cosmetic. I believe the genuine synergy between
art and beauty is something that resounds wonderfully with our clientele,
Dr. Brown says.
Ms. Cravens oil on canvas work featured
on this years Artbox, Deer in Emerald Field, 2007, celebrates
the triumph of nature in the ever-changing 21st Century environment. The gentle
beauty of the fawn and flora with its vivid palette evokes the pastoral simplicity
of days gone by, yet remains thoroughly modern in feel.
RéVives
2007 Limited-Edition Artbox will premiere in November at Barneys New York, Bergdorf
Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as at select luxury boutiques
nationwide and abroad.
RETAIL PRICE: $550
ARTIST
BIO: Ann Cravens lush paintings engage the passing of time and the concept
of originality. Frequently revisiting and repeating a single image, her poignant
canvases depict mesmerizing worlds of flora and fauna idyllic enough to verge
on the uncanny. A diverse mélange of cultural and art historical sources
infuses Cravens eerily powerful deer portraits. Heralding natures
exultation in the face of its ever-threatening endangerment, Cravens multilayered
tableaux envelop us in both bittersweet déjà vu and joie de vivre.
Since 2002, Ann Craven has been exhibiting widely in the U.S. and Europe. Her
work is included in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the
New Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Henry Art Gallery. Ms. Cravens first
collaboration with RéVive was in 2004 for that years Artbox. She
lives and works in New York City.
Dr. Gregory Bays Brown founded
RéVive in 1997 after he successfully employed a multi-million dollar study
on the cosmetic application of Nobel Prize-winning EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor).
He found that this molecule, originally famed for its healing effects on burn
victims, rejuvenates otherwise healthy skin. RéVive skincare is available
through www.reviveskincare.com, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus,
Saks Fifth Avenue, and other luxury boutiques in the United States as well as
abroad.
