To keep boscia preservative-free, Fancl takes extreme precautions in the line's manufacturing and distribution to ensure its products are always fresh, effective and safe. boscia is manufactured in Fancl's state-of-the-art-facility in Chiba, Japan, where rare botanicals and effective skincare ingredients are blended and packaged in an air-filtered, human-free "clean room" using a remote-controlled, automated system to prevent contamination. The clean rooms at Fancl are classified and certified as ISO/9002 in Class 100, the same level that medical and pharmaceutical companies maintain- which is very unusual for a cosmetic and skincare company.

To regulate the effectiveness of every boscia product after manufacturing, Fancl freshness-dates each product with a "sell by" date and recommends using each product within six months of opening.
