Nestled into the hillside below the Main inn, the Spa is camouflaged
by a subterranean design. The inspiration comes from the breathtaking beauty of
the Blue Ridge Mountains, weaving together the elements of fire, rock, water and
light. High stone walls, fireplaces and waterfalls accent the centerpiece, a magical
pool area. Spa
Facilities: $32 million, 40,000 sf subterranean Spa opened 2-28-01. The
Spa is more than 40,000 sq. ft. in size, 15,000 of which are amenities to enjoy
before and after treatments. There are mineral pools with soothing underwater
music, exhilarating contrast pools, a lap pool, an inhalation room, sauna and
a eucalyptus-infused steam room as well as separate Men’s and Women’s
Relaxation Lounges.
Other Facilities:
Golf Course, tennis courts - three outdoor hard courts and three indoor courts.
50,000 square foot Sports Complex offers 18-station Paramount equipment, dumbbells,
freeweights, Lifecycles, stair climbers, treadmills, and Precore elliptical crosstrainers.
Aerobics classes are offered and include step, body sculpt, yoga, water aerobics,
Reebok Cycle, kickboxing, and hi/low orbeginner classes. (Children ages 16 or
under are not permitted on exercise equipment.) Raquetball. Aerobics Classes include
