Spa Facilities: Designed by Lydia Abernathy Mondavi, of the Abernathy Group, Napa, California, The 10,000 square-foot Spa reflects fine European-style luxury and provides a sumptuous backdrop for complete relaxation and personalized care. There are heated limestone floors, handcrafted wood paneling, domed ceilings, custom fabrics, chandeliers and carefully selected antiques to provide a sumptuous backdrop for your complete relaxation and personalized care. The Rainforest Rejuvenation Room is a flower petal-shaped room finished in intricately patterned mosaic tiles and features a steam chamber, a rainforest shower and pulse point water massage. Quiet and private, the Rainforest Room is perfect for couples to enjoy self-applied clay mud body masks or scrubs together. The Spa Apothecary has curved glass walls and custom cabinetry displaying the finest skincare products from around the world including Perle de Caviar from Paris, Dead Sea Muds from Israel and a Satin Body Masque of milk and honey. The Spa Terrace is perfect for a between-treatment breather on a water-heated chaise lounge, fireplace and healthy spa cuisine. The four exclusive Spa Suites provide spacious individually decorated accommodations in handsome rooms, king-sized beds, private porches, separate walk-in closets and luxurious marble baths. A private elevator delivers guests from the accommodation level directly to the Spa, so you may come and go in complete privacy. The brand new (July 2007) 15,000 square-foot Spa Amenities Building at Old Edwards Inn and Spa not only adds more of the finest treatment rooms and spa services to The Spa’s menu, a new heated outdoor mineral water lap pool is now available for a refreshing dip at this destination resort in beautiful Highlands, North Carolina.

The opening of the new Spa Amenities Building adds more than new treatment rooms. It also includes a Spa Café and a pair of exclusive Luxury Spa Suites. There are also gender-specific locker rooms, steam rooms, mineral whirlpools, a ladies sauna, as well as three alternatives for relaxing between treatments: a spa solarium, a nap-reflection room and expanded Spa Terraces – great for dining al fresco.

Other Facilities: Originally opened as a guesthouse in 1888, The Lodge at Old Edwards Inn has been redesigned, upgraded and extensively renovated with an eye towards the Inn’s discerning clientele. Secluded on three acres with views of downtown Highlands and forested mountains, the Lodge has 29 deluxe guestrooms and suites, each beautifully appointed with European bedding and finest amenities from flat screen televisions to Frette linens.
