Description: Opened February 2008 in the new Scottsdale Waterfront, Moss Wellness Spa is Arizona's first eco-luxury spa. Moss Wellness Spa was founded on the principles of health and well being, for you, for our community, and for our world.

Romantic Treatments and Programs: Moss Couples Massage - Enjoy a signature, therapeutic, or hot stone massage with your partner or loved one in the couples treatment room. Couples Retreat - Enjoy a hot mineral bath in our total immersion tub with your significant other. Our unique suite is designed to allow couples the ultimate massage experience of their choice. Following a ninety-minute massage, you will be treated to our hot blooming tea service to enjoy a quiet interlude with your companion.

Spa Facilities: Moss offers 9 private treatment rooms, which includes a couples massage room and a custom thai massage room. Moss also has a private spa suite available for special events, business meetings and large groups as well as a state-of-the-art pilates room and an awe-inspiring movement therapy room where yoga, semi-private group format and similar fitness classes will be held daily, elegant European salons that feature hair, hand and foot treatments, multiple relaxation lounges including an indoor/outdoor coed lounge, eco-chic natural products within each treatment.

Eco-Friendly Practices: A Green Spa Network Founding Seed Spa. Moss is a "Green" Spa, uniquely designed to be environmentally friendly. We invite you to experience a groundbreaking concept. Unlike any other spa in Arizona, it has been designed from day one to become LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified.

Moss recognizes that what goes onto your body not only affects your skin, but your overall health. That is why Moss uses only the finest products, free of unhealthy preservatives. Moss is committed to work diligently with suppliers to reduce packaging and waste, and to recycle all possible items within the spa.

The interior design decisions were influenced by a strong commitment to meet or exceed LEED standards, in air quality, sustainability, and energy efficiency.

Moss was constructed with non-toxic materials with a high percentage of recycled content. Most of the wood products used at the spa are from certified well-managed forests, or were reclaimed. The in-duct filtration system was designed to ensure a dust-free environment. All of the cleaning products are non-toxic and free of harsh chemicals. Finally, Moss takes advantage of Arizona's natural daylight throughout most of the facility, supplemented by low energy lighting to reduce energy consumption.

The LEED certification process requires considerable documentation and architectural insight during the planning stages of both the structure and the interior design. This includes salvaged, recycled, and non-toxic building materials.

Moss Wellness Spa is striving to become LEED certified (Silver) by spring of 2009.
