The Spa Ritual is “your path to rejuvenation” through therapies and treatments inspired by ancient practices of health and wellness from Southeast Asia. Begin your Path to Rejuvenation at The Spa Ritual with relaxing thermotherapy on infrared-heated, ergonomically perfect, natural stone chaise loungers—exclusive to The Spa Ritual in Canada, in the Bali Sanctuary.

The opulent, traditional Thai styling and Bali Moon tub serves as a backdrop to the ultimate spa indulgences for two in The Spa Ritual’s exclusive Royal Thai Suite. This luxurious and elegantly appointed secluded sanctuary for two features a unique and unparalleled experience, including private changing, lounging and dining facilities, and private, dual aromatherapy steam and shower facilities.

The Lotus Garden Spa Suite, with space for groups of up to eight friends, offers a social ‘spa-ing’ experience unique to Calgary. Incorporating the Royal Thai Suite, Ylang-Ylang and Water Lily Couples’ Rooms and Bamboo and Canna Lily Wet Rooms, the Lotus Garden Spa Suites are available for the full repertoire of The Spa Ritual's treatments and experiences for private functions, including bridal events, birthday parties and corporate events, and is ideal for corporate wellness retreats. Private catering within The Lotus Garden is available.

The Ylang-Ylang and Water Lily Couples’ Rooms can be combined to accommodate from four to six friends—allowing them to enjoy side-by-side treatments. Perfect for couples or for friends relaxing together.

Take part in the ancient ritual of the Tea Ceremony Room and experience peace and restorative tranquility. Tea possesses a sacred, almost magical spirit. You will find a quiet mindfulness as you participate in the ritual with carefully prepared tea. The Thai Host will guide you through a traditional Japanese inspired tea ceremony, designed to harmonize the mind, refresh the body and stimulate thoughtful contemplation.

The Spa Boutique offers a carefully selected range of natural and organic wellness items such as The Spa Ritual and USPA face and body products, teas, candles—and an assortment of gift items for your enjoyment, including specialty sections with natural baby care and Gentlemen’s grooming products.

The Spa Rituual also features two locker/changing rooms, a guest lounge, a medical aesthetics treatment room, seven single treatment rooms and a Bistro with three tables.

MATERNITY TREATMENTS

The Yummy Mummy Ritual - 3 hours 15 minutes - (with gift of The Spa Ritual detoxifying scrub + soak) Soothing Botanical Foot Ritual with Nail Grooming, Balancing Facial and 60 minute Sabai Relaxation Massage.
Mummy to-be Massage (Performed only after first trimester) - 60 minutes - This yummy tummy cream massage application, designed to nurture the expectant mummy and baby, helps to promote a healthy pregnancy. Effleurage and light petrissage are used to alleviate tension and improve circulation in the feet, legs, lower back, hips and neck. Stretch-mark easing cream is applied to the tummy and hips.
Yummy Mummy Nurturing Massage - 60 minutes - A deeply relaxing massage, customized upon consultation. For a new mum—skin revitalizing and soothing. Not to be performed during pregnancy.
Post Natal Body Scrub - 45 minutes - Full-body exfoliation to help stimulate circulation, followed by a nourishing stretch-mark diminishing massage and mask. Helps to tone and firm the skin.
Infant Massage Lesson - 30 minutes - This half-hour massage lesson, suitable for babies 1–9 months of age, will show you gentle and nurturing massage techniques to help the well-being of your healthy baby. Massage
promotes bonding; both you and your baby will come to enjoy this special time just for the two of you. Check with the Spa Concierge regarding available class times.

For a Yummy Mummy’s added comfort, when booking three or more treatments, such as a facial, pedicure and massage, ask for a private treatment room.

ROMANTIC TREATMENTS

Lu’lur Full Body Experience - 2 hours (includes Royal Thai Suite rental) - The Lu’lur Ceremony, created for royalty from Java, inspires this experience. Begin with a purifying and cleansing welcoming foot ritual, which includes a well-being massage for the feet and lower legs. The Lu’lur experience continues with a full body exfoliation using ground rice with Hibiscus, Tumeric and Jasmine — followed by a Mandi Susu bath soak. This is followed by a customized Balinese-style moisturising application of either nourishing Coconut oil and Cocoa butter (with a hint of Vanilla and Bergamot) to protect the skin and replenish vital moisture; or an application of Macadamia, Camellia and Jojoba oils to moisturize, soothe and nourish, and Marigold oil which helps heal and strengthen the skin.
Couples Sabai Massage - 90 minutes - Made-to-order for friends or loved ones who wish to relax together in one of the Couples’ Rooms.
Couples Ritual Massage Lesson - 60 minutes - An ideal introduction to the art of massage, great for couples who wish to enhance their understanding of massage and its powerful benefits on their relationship. Specific massage techniques are taught, letting couples practice on each other with clear direction on correct technique. An illustrative guide with the specific massage movements is included as well as The Spa Ritual’s Calming Body Massage Candle which produces a warm, nurturing oil, perfectly formulated for couples’ massage.
